Zombie vs. Fashion: Rick Genest.

Hey leute,
maybe some of you read one of my former posts 'Boys will be boys, but look like girls', which was all about the gorgeous 'Andrej Pejic'. Today I was surfing on the web, watching some fashion blogs and magazine covers until I crashed into one of the most eye-catching shoots I've ever seen. Again the lovely Andrej Pejic caught my attention, but this time it wasn't him who left quite some impression on me. Rick Genest (better known as Zombie boy) was shining with some great poses next to our beautiful Andrej.  

 


Zombie Boy is known from his modeling work for Mugler and the costarring in Lady Gaga's video 'Born this way'. He owes his name to the artistic way his body's covered by numerous tattoos which give him the look of a walking skeleton. Before his fame he performed in a freak circus in his native Montréal.

Together they pose for Auslander's spring 2012 campaign, a Brazillian brand founded by designer Ricardo Bräutigam. Their differences turned out to be a big asset in this shoot made by Marcelo Krasilcic. Rick Genest and cover boy Andrej Pejic looked crazy beautiful together, and though they don't have a lot in common, there is one thing in which they both seem to be very similar: they are both highly unconventional. the combination of Andrej's androgynous appeal and Rick's extreme appearance generated some intense chemistry in this amazing shoot.
